Walk of Faith - Columns in the Courtyard
Throughout Sacred Scripture, pillars represent strength, permanence, and steadfast faith. Our new courtyard features eighteen beautiful columns that will be dedicated to the pillars of our faith.
The four corner columns will be dedicated to the patron saints of our House System—Faith, Hope, Love, and Grace—while the remaining columns will honor saints whose lives exemplify courage, discipleship, service, and holiness.
Each named column will include:
A custom plaque featuring the image of the saint
A brief description of the saint's life and witness
Recognition of the donor or family whose generosity made the dedication possible
More than a naming opportunity, these columns will become an outdoor classroom. As students gather in the courtyard, they will encounter the stories of holy men and women who lived lives of extraordinary virtue and faithfulness. By the time they graduate from St. Cecilia School, students will know these saints by name, understand their witness, and recognize how their examples continue to inspire us today.
Your gift will create a lasting legacy that forms young disciples for generations to come. Through your generosity, a saint's story will become part of the daily life of St. Cecilia School, reminding every student that holiness is not reserved for the few, but is a calling for us all.
HOPE - St. Jude Thaddeaus (patron saint of hopeless cases, impossible causes, and desperate situations) $25,000
FAITH - St. Pope John Paul II (World Youth Day, Families, Young Catholics, defense of human dignity) Drs. Jeffrey and Madelaine Fontenot
LOVE - St. Thérèse of Lisieux (known for doing small things with great love) $25,000
GRACE - St. Maria Goretti (purity, chastity, youth, and the grace of forgiveness) Breaux Family
