Bluejay Baseball
Baseball at St. Cecilia School is a proud tradition and a source of excitement each spring for our students in grades 5–8. Our program not only develops athletic skill but also instills teamwork, discipline, and a love for America’s pastime.
Over the years, SCS has been home to remarkable talent, with one of the most notable being Hayden Cantrelle. During his time as a Bluejay, Hayden earned recognition as the Class IV State MVP and was named All-State three times, cementing his place as one of the program’s finest athletes.
His journey didn’t stop there. In 2017, Hayden was drafted by the New York Yankees, and he continued to shine at the collegiate level, earning honors such as the 2019 Cape Cod All-Star and Sun Belt All-Conference. His career reached new heights in 2020 when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. Today, Hayden is continuing his baseball journey as a professional player at the AAA level with the Chicago Cubs organization.
Hayden’s success is a testament to the foundation built within St. Cecilia’s baseball program—where talent is nurtured, values are instilled, and Bluejays learn to soar both on and off the field.
